The security model of Graphlytic contains several base entities: User, Group, Application Permission, Project, and Project Permission with a few simple rules:

  • Users are members of user groups.
  • Application Permissions are assigned to user groups. Application Permissions for User Groups can be managed on the User Groups page, accessible in the Main menu (top right).
  • The user has all permissions of groups of which he is a member. When particular permission is granted in at least one of his groups then the permission is granted for the user.
  • User groups are assigned to Projects. One user group can be assigned to multiple projects based on the Project Settings.
