Required Permission: User management (Read more about permissions in User Groups)

Graphlytic application can be accessed only by an authorized user. A Graphlytic user can access only functions for which he has permission. Permissions are assigned to a group of users, and the user inherits all permissions from his groups. If a user is not assigned to any group, then he has no access to the application.

The user management page can be found in the Main menu (top right) under "Users".

  3. There are several icons next to each user (in the "Actions" column). You can execute several operations with a user:

    • Disable user - a confirmation window is shown. After confirmation, the user is disabled, meaning they can't log in to Graphlytic. The user is not deleted from the system and can be reactivated at any time.

    • Change user information - change details of the user

    • Change user password - change the password of the user

    • Reset user password: an email with a password reset URL will be sent to the user. The user is blocked from logging in with the old password.

    • Add/remove groups - manage this user's membership in all existing groups. Use the arrows to change the user's membership.

    • Delete user - confirmation window is shown. User can be deleted:

      • immediately - After confirmation, the user is marked as deleted in the system. The user can't log into the system. Deleted users can be restored (see the chapter below).

      • or scheduled for deletion - User is still valid and will only be deleted on the selected date. Clicking “Scheduled delete” (see image below) will display a cancellation dialog where scheduled deletion can be canceled.

      • A user can delete another user only if the deleted user's permissions are a subset of the permissions of the user performing the delete action. If a user has the "Grant all permissions to users" permission, then such a user can delete any user regardless of the deleted user's permissions.
