An AI Connection represents an LLM model or AI service like our Graphlytic Cloud AI API. Other options will exist in the future, like OpenAI API or Google Gemini. AI Connections are created on the Application Settings page and used in ETL Jobs or other AI-powered features.
1. Graphlytic Cloud AI API
Our Cloud AI API offers access to a curated list of LLMs that work best with AI features in Graphlytic.
Access to the Cloud AI API is managed in the Graphlytic Cloud Admin, where you can see the available models and manage API credits.

1.2. API Key
Once you have your Graphlytic Cloud account, you can find and manage your API Key on the GraphAI API page. To reveal the current API Key, click on the eye icon. This API Key can be used in any Graphlytic application to access the AI features.
Once you have your API Key, go to the AI Connections panel in your Graphlytic application and click the Edit button on the Graphlytic Cloud AI entry. Then, enter the API Key and save the AI Connection.
That’s all. Now your Graphlytic application is able to use the Cloud AI API.
Please see the ETL: LLM article for an example of how to use the AI API in an ETL job.
2. Custom LLM API
The custom LLM option allows you to connect your own LLM to power the AI features in Graphlytic. This is a highly experimental option; please contact us at support@graphlytic.com for more information.
